Ghost Hunters Season 7 PremiereFeb 26
Wednesday night featured Ghost Hunters season 7 premiere (followed by SyFy’s reality show Face Off, which is really good). There used to be a day where I had seen every single episode of Ghost Hunters, but honestly I haven’t really kept up with them over the last year and a half. It’s not because I lost complete interest in the show, but the show did change after season 3 and it just wasn’t the same.
Anyway, the premise for their season 7 premiere went something like this: Community leaders call in TAPS claiming their whole town is haunted. The townspeople choose 3 “hot spots” for TAPS to investigate, including a hotel, restaurant, and pub. That particular episode’s TAPS team was comprised of Jason, Grant, Steve, Tango, Amy and good ole’ Adam “20 minutes with me costs you 40 bucks” Berry (ribbing aside, I think he’s a good investigator). In the end, Jason, Grant and Tango gave their “reveal” in a town hall setting, on a stage to a couple dozen of the local townspeople. Their conclusions included a couple possible EVPs, a piece of strange video footage and a few personal experiences. TAPS didn’t outright say “Your town is Haunted!!” but did say there might be something going on and that it was nothing to be afraid of.
All-in-all, I liked the episode, but I hope this season yields more home investigations. I enjoy a good haunted hotel or abandoned prison investigation as much as the next guy, but I prefer to see TAPS helping out folks in actual emergencies.
